.SMITH, Allen Douglas "Smitty" - Age 79, of Flint, died June 1, 2018. Funeral service will be held 4PM Wednesday June 6 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Visitation will be held 4-8PM Tuesday and from 3PM Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to The American Cancer Society or ALS Association of MI. Allen was born January 12, 1939 in Collinsville, AL. the son of Earl and Sula Smith. He proudly served his country in The United States Air Force. Allen enjoyed playing pool, ping pong, and casino traveling. He retired from GM Buick after 35 years of service. Surviving are; wife Etta, stepson Robert (Melinda) Clark, stepdaughter Cheryl Yelle, brother, Wayne Smith; sister, Judy Gladdan; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Earl Lamar Smith Sr., mother Sula Smith, brother Earl Lamar Smith Jr., brother-in-law Michael Gladden, stepdaughter Tracy Henderson, and grandson John Yelle.
