Aloysius "Al" John TEUBER

TEUBER, Aloysius "Al" John - age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, January 17, 2013 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Dan Kogut celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-9 PM Tuesday and Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a Bowling Hall of Fame service will be held 6 PM Wednesday followed by a vigil service at 7 PM and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greater Flint Youth Bowling Hall of Fame, Greater Flint USBC Youth Association Scholarship Fund, St. Mary Catholic Church Seminarian Fund or St. Mary Catholic Church Youth Scholarship Fund. Mr. Teuber was born June 2, 1936 in Detroit, the son of George and Gertrude (Graham) Teuber. He married Judith Linam on October 10, 1959 in Durand. He retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. Mr. Teuber was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #6694, the Flint Bowling Association where he served as past recording secretary, and the Michigan State Bowling Association where he was a life member and past president. He was a member of the Flint Bowling Hall of Fame and the Michigan State Bowling Hall of Fame. Surviving are: wife, Judith; six children, Theresa (Ben) Sheahan of Henderson, NV, John (Robin) Teuber of Pinckney, James (Sara) Teuber of Swartz Creek, Veronica (Paul) Weeden of Flint, Anne (Ron) Kelly of Swartz Creek, Christopher Teuber of Mt. Morris; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. His parents and two brothers, Sonny and Alphonse, preceded him in death.
