Alton Robert Badour, of Burton, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, with his family at his side. He was 85 years old.
Born August 9, 1940, in Sims Township, MI he was the son of Willard Paul and Ione (Chase) Badour. Alton was a proud veteran of the US Army. He retired from General Motors where he worked in the press room at both Fisher Body and Buick Plants. Alton was a member for 50 plus years and had served as former Governor and officer of the Moose Lodge of Grand Blanc, a former member of the American Legion and the Eagles. He was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. in Elkhart, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, camping, bingo, trips to the casino and loved to sing Karaoke.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Leona “Lee” (Smith) Badour; his daughter Judy McGregor and her husband Craig; grandson Brian Badour and his wife Amy; two granddaughters Kim DePew and her fiancé Mike and Ashley Pettengill and her husband Josh; 8 great grandchildren; and a son Robert Ahrens.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as 8 siblings.
Cremation has been entrusted to Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Graveside services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 10:30am. A luncheon will follow the service at the Moose Lodge in Grand Blanc.
