Alvera K. PETIPRIN

PETIPRIN, Alvera K. - Age 93, of Swartz Creek, died January 11, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday, 1-3 & 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 10 AM until the time of Mass Tuesday at church. Alvera was born November 29, 1919 in Chesaning, the daughter of William and Veronica Klein. She was married to Eugene Petiprin on February 9, 1946; he preceded her in death on March 7, 2009. Mrs. Petiprin was a bus driver for Swartz Creek Schools, retiring in 1982 and was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mrs. Petiprin loved to travel with her husband, especially to Palm Springs. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting for her family. She spent many summers Up North, where she would spend time walking and bird watching. She also loved her Pomeranians, Teddy and Ruby. Surviving are: children, James E. (Amy) Petiprin, Dianne Carrier, Deborah Petiprin, Carol (Rolland) Neelands; grandchildren, Amy M.(Jeff) Frost, James P. Petiprin, Jaclyn (Brian) Holmen, Gordon Neelands; seven great-grandchildren, Sophia, Marcella, Carter, Anne, Eriksen, Nina, Phillip; sisters, Eileen (Patrick) Kealy, Rufina (Frank) Szabo. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Imelda Smith, Eulalie Reinhart, Nathalia Marrow, Ramona O'Brien; brothers, Menford, Gervais and Alerd Klein.
