Alvesta Irene VENESS

VENESS, Alvesta Irene (Groh) - Age 94, of Fenton, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrating. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign or a charity of your choice. Mrs. Venesss was born October 17, 1918 in Dayton, OH the daughter of Earl and Florence (Kleier) Groh. She had resided in Fenton since 1978 coming from Detroit. She married Clarence Veness September 10, 1971 in Detroit and he preceded her in death October 2, 1982. She had been employed by Gergory Mayer and Thom Company for 20 years as an assistant accountant and she then retired from American Standard after 13 1/2 years of service. Mrs. Veness was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are: special sister-in-law, Marie Groh of Zephyrhills, FL.
