Andrew M. Griffin

Griffin, Andrew - Age 68, of Flint, passed away August 27, 2026. Celebration of Life will be held October 3rd at his Mom's farm, Lennon MI. Andrew was born July 22, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of James and Geraldine (Abraham) Griffin. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State University and worked as a manager in the family business, Griffin Floor Company. Andrew was an avid writer and had a lifelong passion for running. Over the years, he completed an impressive 29 full marathons, along with numerous half marathons and other races. This year marked his 23rd Crim, an accomplishment that reflected his dedication to the sport and the running community. Andrew was also a leader for RT31 in the Crim Training program, where he enjoyed sharing his love of running with others. Surviving are: mother, Geraldine Griffin of Lennon; siblings, James Griffin (Kim Brobst) of Lennon, Judith (Seth) McCabe of Iowa, Donna (Delbert) Fox of Ohio, and Charles (Laura) Griffin of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews.
