ANCIRA, Angelita S. - Age 91, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, April 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Fr. Cecilio Reyna officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8 PM. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home 7:00 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Mrs. Ancira was born January 28, 1922 in Texas the daughter of Anselmo and Marcianna (Garnica) Saldana. She married Pedro Ancira December 7, 1939 in Texas and he preceded her in death March 7, 1989. She retired from the Flint Journal in 1978 after 15 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mrs. Ancira loved to cook and play bingo. Surviving are: 5 children, Mary Ann and husband Rene Trevino of Hammond, IN, Carmen and husband Dick Dungee of Swartz Creek, Pedro "Pete" Ancira of Flint, Samuel Ancira of Flint, and Reynaldo "Ron" and wife Theresa Ancira of Grand Blanc; 13 grandchildren, Rene, Jr., Scott, Ralph, Tammy, Sammy, Jr., Steven, Tony, Danny, Corina, Kristy, Robert, Adam, and Angie; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert and wife Eva Saldana of Kenosha, WI; sister-in-law, Frances Saldana of Kenosha, WI; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Robert and Joseph Ancira; and 2 brothers, Ysidro (and his wife Elida) and Alfredo Saldana.
