Ann Waldo

May 3, 1934 — Jul 28, 2026

Birch Run (formerly Flushing)

Ann Wiegreffe Waldo, age 92, formerly of Flint Twp. and Flushing, Michigan as well as formerly from Northville, New York, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Birch Run Fields Assisted Living in Birch Run, Michigan.

Ann was born on May 3, 1934 in the District of Columbia, to John Lemuel and Helen Ford Wiegreffe, and married Rev. Burnham H. Waldo in Bowens, Corners, New York, on January 28, 1956.

Ann is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Wiegreffe; sons, David (Nancy J.) Waldo of Tullahoma, Tennessee, John (Linda) Waldo of Clio, Michigan; six grandchildren, Timothy (Tabatha) Waldo, Andrew (Christina) Waldo, Michelle (Daniel) DeHoog, Matthew Waldo, Amy Waldo and Christi Waldo; eight great-grandchildren (with one on the way) and her daughter, Nancy E. Waldo.

Ann was a member of the Flushing United Methodist Church in Flushing, where she was active in the sewing ministry when she was able. Sewing was Ann's "thing", and she frequented sewing clubs wherever she lived in upstate New York and Vermont. There was rarely a fabric she didn't like. She made many of her own clothes. A point of pride was when she donated her self-made wedding gown to be repurposed for burial gowns for still born children.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff a Birch Run Fields Assisted Living and Mid Michigan Hospice for their care of Ann in her last few months.

Per Ann's wishes, there will not be a service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing United Methodist Church entry remodel project, 413 East Main St. Flushing, MI 48433.
