Anna "Faye" Estep, 78, of Fenton, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on the morning of April 29, 2026.
Faye was born to Dewey and Sarah Blankenship on October 31, 1947, in Iaeger, West Virginia. She married Jerry Estep in 1962, and they raised their four children in Fenton.
Faye was especially fond of children and babysat for countless families over the years. She had a beautiful singing voice and led worship at the former Fenton Assembly of God (now Freedom Center Church), where she also taught Sunday School. Faye loved HGTV (especially Bob Vila), classic musicals, and finding a good rummage sale on a Saturday morning. Although she suffered from a debilitating neurological disorder for nearly thirty years, Faye was unceasingly selfless, kind, and faithful to the end. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Faye is survived by daughter Alicia Hawkins, sons Anthony Estep, Jermain Estep, and Joseph (Anna) Estep, sisters Pearl Oney of North Carolina and Darlene Storms of Tennessee, brother Ronald Blankenship of Tennessee, seven grandchildren, Sara, Jesse, Vanessa, Kayla, Garrett, Rosie, and Kylee, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judith, and great-grandson Mason.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9th, at 1 pm at Freedom Center Church, 2473 W. Shiawassee Ave., Fenton, MI.
