Anna Maria Voorheis

VOORHEIS, Anna Maria - Age 91, of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 27, 2026 at Sharp Fenton Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Anna's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial in Rose Township Cemetery, immediately following her service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, March 27, 2026 from 10 AM until the time of the service.

Anna was born February 10, 1935 in Grunau, Austria, the daughter of Heinrich and Anna (Hauer) Aitzetmueller. She married Ronnie "Bill" Charles Voorheis November 19, 1955 in Pontiac. She worked as the night secretary for many years at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Waterford; she also attended that church. Anna was an expert knitter, enjoyed walking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband of 70 years, Bill; children, Annemarie (John) Hohman of Ann Arbor, Steven (Catherine) Voorheis of Lake Orion, Mary Elizabeth "Lisa" Voorheis of Brighton, and Daphne Louise (Jon) Dolbee of Atlanta, MI; Oma to six grandchildren, Marie (Brian) Engel, Rachel (Nick) Gurica, Keith (Emily) Voorheis, Katie (Daryl) Heyboer, Philip (Alicia) Voorheis, Benjamin (Chelsea) Hirshberg; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Heinrich (Erika) Aitzetmueller, Rosie Baumgartner, Finni Goldschmeding, and Friedrich (Gisela) Aitzetmueller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Heinrich and Anna Voorheis; and sister, Frieda and brother Karli Aitzetmueller. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
