Anna Mae West

WEST, Anna Mae - Age 96, of Swartz Creek, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Anna's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Anna was born October 12, 1929 in Epoufette, MI, the daughter of Leslie R. and Ellen Rachel (Prout) Styes. She married William A. West July 23, 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death January 2, 2004. She had resided in the Swartz Creek area since 1944. She retired from GMSPO March 1, 1993 where she had worked for 38 years. Anna was a member of Spiritual Episcopal Church of Owosso, Sault Ste. Marie Chippawa Tribe, U.A.W. Local #659, Swartz Creek V.F.W. Auxiliary Pot #3720, Red Hat Society, and the Red Feather Organization. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, walking on the beach, traveling, and her animals.

Surviving are: her daughter, Deborah Kay (Craig) Weiershauser of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Dr. Hilary Dawn (Dr. Chris) Manees, Brent McGaffigan, and Sarah Nicole (Jake) Alexander; great grandson, Bryce Austin Manees; and several nieces and nephews.
