Annie Edison "Shirley" RICHARDS

RICHARDS, Annie Edison "Shirley" - Age 75, of Fenton, died July 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Monday, July 15, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Dale Swihart will officiate. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project. Annie was born August 22, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Edison) Taylor. She was married to Jack R. Richards on December 23, 1972 in Linden; he preceded her in death on March 16, 2013. Mrs. Richards lived in the Linden/Fenton area for many years and worked as a teachers aide for Holly Schools. She had also lived in Traverse City for 24 years, where she was employed by Cherry Bend Animal Hospital. She found so much pleasure working with children in Holly and made lifelong friends with many co-workers. Annie loved her family dearly. She enjoyed quilting, stamp art and reading. Surviving are: children, Diane Millington (Terry) Sievert of Traverse City, Pamela (Dan) Kenny of Fenton, Tom Richards of Mt. Morris; grandchildren, Katie Starrs Coleman, Clint Starrs, Drew Kenny, Alex Kenny, Travis Sievert, Kristen Sievert; great-grandchildren, Chase Coleman, Addie Starrs Coleman, Jack Coleman; dear friends, Audrey and Gilbert McCaughna; brother-in-law, Jerry (Marilyn) Richards.
