LINDSAY, Anthony M. -- Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died October 13, 2013. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, October 16 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Dan Kogut celebrant. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7PM . Visitation Wednesday will be at church from 10 AM until the time of mass. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Cancer Institute Flint, American Diabetes Association, or Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan. Mr. Lindsay was born on February 26, 1928 in Ryder, North Dakota. He is a veteran of the US Navy and serving in World War II. Mr. Lindsay married Marjorie Martin on December 11, 1948 in Flint; she preceded him in death October 8, 2002. Mr. Lindsay was a retired electrician working from 1951 until 1990 and was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 948. He then worked for Sears as a 'Handyman' for 10 years. He was a co-founder and president of Flintstone Winnies, former member of the Michigan Knights of the Highway, and Swartz Creek Lions Club. He loved to travel in his motor home with his beloved wife in the co-pilot seat. Surviving are: three children, Kathleen (William) Duso of Grand Blanc, Mark (Barbara) Lindsay of Owosso, and Brad (Ann) Lindsay of Flint Twp., grandchildren; Lindsay, Martin, Tracey, Kimberly, Mark II, Amanda, Jack, Nick and Kasey; six great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Aubrey McPherson; brother Jack; and granddaughter Jessica.
