Antonio V. VELEZ, Sr.

VELEZ, Antonio (Papi), Sr. - age 59 of Flint passed at home surrounded by his family on October 10, 2013 after a long bout with cancer. Services will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Antonio V. Velez Memorial Fund. A Native of Puerto Rico, instilled into his children, Antonio Jr, David, Ramon, William John, Saul, Thomas. Love, respect and a strong work ethic. Antonio enjoyed working in the yard and remolding homes but, most of all he adored spending time with his family. He was the proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren. He leaves behind 5 siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings. Antonio was a member of Path of Mercy Pentecostal church and served Jesus Christ faithfully for the last 3 years of his life.
