Areledene Myrtle Jenkins

Jenkins, Areldene Myrtle (Johnson)- Age 90, of Linden, died Sunday, October 19, 2003 at Argentine Care Center.  Celebration of life service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, November 1, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes; Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden.  Those desiring may make contributions to Unitarian Universalist Church of Flint, 2474 S. Ballenger Hwy., Flint, MI.  Mrs. Jenkins was born April 10, 1913 in Caledonia, the daughter of Maynard Albright and Iva May (Crotser) Oldt.  She married Harold John Johnson June 1, 1930 in Mancelona and he preceded her in death in 1969, she then married Lyle George Jenkins in 1972 and he preceded her in death in 1993.  She had resided in Linden the past 1 year formerly of Burton, Hartland and Ann Arbor.  She was employed as a LPN for 30 years for various hospitals and nursing homes.  She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Church of Flint.  Surviving are: daughter, Barbara Boyer of Linden; son, Harold and wife Eve Johnson of Bowling Green, OH; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Roush of Torch Lake.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters.  The family wishes to express a special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Argentine Care Center, Hospice of Integrated Health Services, Dr. Mark Trudell and Dr. James Garfield
