Ariadene Renee (Ragain) Turner, 69, of Burton, Michigan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 9, 2026.
A celebration of Renee’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Renew Church, 4216 S. Belsay Rd., Burton, MI 48519. A dinner will follow immediately after the service, where family and friends are invited to continue sharing memories and fellowship.
Renee was born on February 16, 1957, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the daughter of Rev. Virgil Doane and Rev. Loretha Joyce (Winford) Ragain. She graduated from Glendale High School in Springfield, Missouri, in 1975.
Music was one of Renee’s greatest joys and lifelong callings. She shared God’s gift through her beautiful voice and musical talents in churches and ministries throughout her life. Renee never met a stranger—her warmth, humor, and genuine spirit made everyone feel welcome. Her radiant smile and laughter could light up any room, and her love for the Lord was evident in all she did.
On September 17, 1977, Renee married the love of her life, Gary Allen Turner. Together, they spent 48 devoted years sharing the Gospel and ministering through music in the churches they pastored and served. Their partnership was a testament to faith, love, and dedication.
Renee cherished her family deeply and took great pride in the large, loving family she was part of. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Allen Turner; her sister, Pamela Carol Thornton and her husband Rick of Arlington, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Nami, Karis, Liam, and Cameron; daughter-in-law, Sabrina Turner; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Robert and Debra Turner of Clio, Michigan; Tom and Sherry Turner of Alabama; and Pastors Steve and Neoma Turner of Dresden, Tennessee; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joshua David Allen Turner; her father- and mother-in-law, Zane R. and Mary L. Turner; her grandparents, James Ercil and Eula Leona Ragain, and Louis Robert and Georgia Mae Winford; her sisters-in-law, Jill Snyder (Albert) and Bonnie O’Neal.
Renee will be forever loved, deeply missed, and joyfully remembered. Her legacy of faith, music, laughter, and love will continue to live on in all who knew her.
