Arlene Valerie Starzyk

STARZYK, Arlene Valerie - age 91, of Fenton, passed away September 29, 2026 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John or Holy Family Outreach. Arlene was born November 8, 1934 in Detroit, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Phyllis (Mansur) Storm. She married Stanley Joseph Starzyk on November 15, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1971. Arlene was always a hard worker and stay at home mom. She was a waitress at Little Joe's in Grand Blanc, The Fenton Hotel and worked for Lovey's (Lovegrove's). Arlene was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and cooking. Arlene volunteered at Holy Family Outreach, St. John Applefest and Genesys Hospital. Surviving are: five children, Linda (Reggie) Brown, Judy (Don) May, David Starzyk and special friend, Donna, Tracy (Bill) Calcutt, and Jane Starzyk; five grandchildren, Amanda, Erin, Caitlin, Jacob and Aaron; four great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her grandson, Todd Kocher. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Compassus Home Care, Lockwood of Fenton, Drs.
