Arturo A. TIONG

TIONG, Arturo A. - age 69, of Flint Twp., died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave, Flint with Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held from 11 AM Wednesday until the time of service at the church. Mr. Tiong was born February 23, 1943 in Palawan, Philippines, the son of Dr. Jose and Fidela (Alonso) Tiong. He married Laraine Lisboa on June 29, 1969. Mr. Tiong enjoyed the Detroit Pistons and U of M sports. He loved spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. Surviving are: the Queen of his heart for 43 years, Laraine; four children, Karen (John) McCafferty of Novi, Joseph Tiong of Fenton, Theodore (Amanda) Tiong of Grand Blanc, Michael (Nada) Tiong of Flushing; five grandchildren, Ethan, Lily, Andrew, Noah and Max; three siblings, Felicidad Tiong of the Philippines, Norma Tiong of the Philippines, Teodora (Vicente) Carino of Flushing; many nieces and nephews.
