Audrey Irish

IRISH, Audrey Eleanor - Age 98, of Swartz Creek, died January 24, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 1PM until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Irish was born October 23, 1918 in Manton, Michigan, the daughter of the late Clinton Claude and Doris Margaret (McCain) Burns. She married Robert Ellsworth Irish on May 29, 1937 in Flint Township, he preceded her in death in 1980. Audrey retired from General Motors working at the AC Spark Plug, the Chevrolet Avenue and the Otterburn Assembly plant with 29 years of service. She was a graduate of Mary Crapo High School class of 1936 and enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are: daughters, Tonya Allard of CA, Tamra (Roger) Arens of Troy; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Bill (Marianne) Burns of Corunna and 1 sister Marjorie Gerring of CO. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ilah Irish and Ada Gardener and 3 brothers, Gene, Jack and Jim Burns. Online condolences may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
