Barbara M. Dye

Barbara M. Dye, age 92, of Fenton, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Henry Ford Genesys. Private services were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Entombment will take place at Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor.

Barbara was born on October 12, 1932 in Wyandotte, Michigan the daughter of the late Raymond and Nellie (Syroka) Mink. She worked for Kelsey Hayes Manufacturing for 28 years before her retirement in 1994. Barbara and Everett Dye were united in marriage on October 22, 1949 in Ypsilanti. Sadly he preceded her in death on July 1, 1999. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, boating with her son, going to craft shows and fishing. In her free time, she liked yard working, flower gardening, bird watching, and enjoying a glass of Port Wine.

She is survived by her loving children, Leilani (Don) Dirkse, Theresa (Paul) Behling, Barbara A. (Zafer) Asmar, Everett Dye Jr., and Sharon (Sonny) Riggs; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Weber. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy; grandson, Chad; and brothers, Ron and Rich. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
