Barbara Jean Emery

EMERY, Barbara Jean, age 72, of Perry, formerly of Lapeer, passed away on June 3, 2026. Cremation arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel. Private family services will be held. Memorial Contributions in Barbara's memory would be appreciated to Heartland Hospice of Flint.

Barbara was born on June 29, 1953, in Detroit, the daughter of Robert Earl and Donna Marie (Shoemaker) Cruse. She married Kenneth Ray Emery in Lapeer on June 2, 2007. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2017. Barbara was a "lover of Jesus" who enjoyed listening to Christian Radio. She also enjoyed dancing, gardening, bird watching, camping and visiting garage sales. Barbara cherished drinking coffee while visiting with her friends. She was a foster mom to many children and loved spending time with family. 

Barbara is survived by her children, Tonya (Aaron) Wentz, Dave (Molly) Graybill, Michael (Krisana) Graybill, Stephanie Madison (Emery), Scott (Jenny) Emery; grandchildren, Ky'el (Brittney) Wentz, Kasiah Wentz, Brooklynn (Santos) Benitez, Joshua Graybill, Ellyn Rodriguez, and Zaiden Graybill; great grandchildren, Adeline Wentz, and Adalynn Benitez; her mother, Donna Marie Cruse; siblings, Tom Cruse, Linda Giguere, and Cheryl Patton; and several aunts and uncles nieces and nephews. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Robert Earl Cruse; her husband, Kenneth Ray Emery; and her first husband, Patrick Graybill.
