Barbara Lea Hall (Marsh)

November 19, 1935 — September 19, 2025

Flint

Barbara Lea Hall (Marsh), at almost 90 has chosen to finally take cookies to her partner in Heaven on September 19, 2025 at Sugarbush/Calkins House. Graveside Services have been held at Sunset Hills, Flint.

Barb was born November 19, 1935 in Flint, Michigan; the daughter of Jay and Dorothy (Marsh) MacDonald. She was a 1954 graduate of Flint Northern and worked, in her own words, “a long time” as an accountant at GM for 33 years, retiring in 1991. Barbara married Russell Hall on October 24, 1953 in Flint. She was a life resident of the Flint area.

She was an avid bowler, cherished getting her nails and hair done, and had the hottest Yahtzee hand you could imagine. She loved family Euchre nights, with the words “What’s trump?” being heard right before she would slam down the right or left bower, usually for the game winning point. Barbara also enjoyed her casino trips with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Most of all, she was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, and person. Her pride and joy was to celebrate the triumphs of her grandchildren and watch them grow into adults. She had a special skill for making each grandchild feel like they were her “favorite”.

Barb is survived by her 3 children; Deborah (Roy) Taylor, Terry Hecht, and Russell G. (Kathleen) Hall, Jr.; 6 grandchildren, Russell Dale (Lily) Brown, Malauri (Lief) Taylor-Parr, Taylor (Matthew) Hawley, Kyle Hall, Aaron Hecht, and Dylan Hall; and 4 great-grandchildren, Henry, Lucy, Millie Grace, and Penelope Hawley. She was preceded in death by: her wonderful husband of 64 years, Russell Hall, her parents, and her in-laws Henry and Dorothy (Rice) Hall.

Those desiring may make a donation to the Humane Society of Genesee County, Special Olympics and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
