Barbara Yoder

YODER, Barbara Jean - Age 76, of Jackson, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023.  A private family service will be held.  Deacon Ron Kenney officiating.  Burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Swartz Creek.  Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Barbara was born in Flint, the daughter of Maurice and Eleanor (Rumpler) Scanlon.  She was a 1965 graduate of Swartz Creek High School.  She married Ronald L. Yoder 1969 in Swartz Creek and he preceded her in death 2002.  She had resided in Jackson for the past 10 years coming from Owosso and she was raised in Swartz Creek.  Barbara enjoyed gardening, traveling and most of all spending time with her family.

Surviving are: her children, Sharon Yoder (Jason Welden) of Owosso, Jeff Yoder of Bay City, Nancy Shirkey of Jackson and Diane (Gabe) Wing of Grand Rapids; 6 grandchildren, Madelynn, Matthew, Sammie, Joey, Andy and Eleanor; brothers, Paul (Lovella) Scanlon of Kentucky and Thomas (Cindy) Scanlon of Clarkston.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Martha Scanlon.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
