Barry Christopher MATTA

MATTA, Barry Christopher age 50, of Fenton, died Friday, October 4, 2013 at Henry Ford. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 Adelaide St., Fenton. Visitation will be held from 1-4 and 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of the service in Tuesday at the church. Contributions may be made to the family. Barry was born September 15, 1963 in Detroit, the son of Peter R. and Dolores A. (Marion) Matta. He married Peggy A. Kirkland on September 30, 1989. Barry worked in the family business, Lake Fenton Marina for 26 years and then started his own marine business, All Lakes Marine Service with his brother, Pete. Barry was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Left to cherish his memory are: wife, Peggy; two sons, Jason and Tyler; parents, Peter and Dolores Matta; siblings, Brian (Kristie) Matta of FL, Kimberly (Douglas) Jackson of FL, Peter (special friend, Christina) Matta of Fenton.
