CURTIS, Beau R. - age 41 of Fenton, departed his earthly life surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Beau was born April 13, 1982, in Flint, the son of Greg Curtis and Susan Scott. He was a graduate of Flushing High School Class of 2000. After graduation, he made a career of every boy’s dream, playing with construction toys for a living as an Operating Engineer with Local 324. In 2016, Beau married the love of his life Kristie, and since then has been a devoted husband, father, and friend. His love for his family was evident. Beau loved nothing more than spending time with his family, from trips up north, to summers on the boat, and all the gatherings with their many friend groups. He was a constant sideline presence at Declan’s sporting events, and they especially bonded over their shared love of hockey. He took pride in being the best “girl dad” to Silvie, who could do no wrong in his eyes and whose favorite place to snuggle up was on her daddy's chest. He lit up every room with his infectious humor and zest for life. He had a way with words, or as his friends and family refer to them, his “Beaubonics”, and was always first to crack a joke, or give a witty nickname. Beau brought joy and laughter wherever he went, he was a man of the people (and parties) and his unwavering loyalty to his family and friends will surely leave an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him. Surviving are: wife, Kristie Curtis; two children, Declan and Silvie; parents, Greg (Connie) Curtis and Sue (Ron) Scott; grandma, Barb Krason; brother, Jason (Laura) Curtis; stepsiblings, Emily (Justin) Jankowski, Marci (Chuck) Mort, Matt (Liz) Sekelsky; and Andy (Gretchen) Sekelsky; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024, at The Rock Church, 11499 Linden Road, Fenton, MI 48430 with Pastor Wes Morris officiating. The visitation will be held from 11 AM - 2 PM Saturday at The Rock Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Honoring Beau: The Curtis Family Fund (https://gofund.me/7ebcb20a).
