Bernard Francis "Bernie" O'Brien III

O'Brien III, Bernard Francis "Bernie" - Age 54, of  Byron passed away July 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held  at 11:00 AM Friday, July 21, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The funeral service may be viewed by livestream at Bernie's page at wwwsharpfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery . Visitation will be held 4- 8 PM Thursday, July 20; and 9-11 AM Friday, July 21 at the funeral home. A memorial service under the auspices of the Linden VFW will be held 7 PM Thursday July 20 at the funeral home. Bernie was born February 7, 1969 in Southfield, Michigan, the son of Bernard F. O'Brien, II and Mary Louise (Poirier) O'Brien. He retired in 2014 from the United States Air Force and was an active member of the Linden VFW. He worked for Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. as a Civil Engineering Technician for over 20 years. An avid outdoorsman, Bernie was a longtime member of the Fenton Lake Sportsman's Club and he was an avid competitive shooter. He recently fell in love with the sport of showing dogs. He was a loving husband, father and Papa. 

He is survived by his wife, Beth; two daughters, Terra Rose (Jason) Musall and Shannon Kelly; grandchildren, Ethan and Sloane; his mother, Mary Louise O'Brien; siblings, Laura (John) Mastronardi, Mary (Ernie) Bossee, Ann (Rod) Hatch, James (Carolyn) O'Brien, and Pat (Jamie) O'Brien; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard II and sister, Kathleen.
