Bernetta May Coon

COON, Bernetta May  age 79, of Swartz  Creek, died Saturday, October 14, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel with Fr. Gene Geromel, SSC officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Bernetta was born June 26, 1927 in Detroit. She was a 1946 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. She married Lloyd Nelson Coon on March 10, 1951 in Flint. Bernetta was a member of St. Bartholomew Anglican Church and was an avid bingo player. She had a passion for working with children and the elderly and was a loving caregiver to many over the years. Bernetta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are: husband, Lloyd of Swartz Creek; three children, Lynda (William) Forbes of Swartz Creek, William (Connie) Coon of IL, Jenny (Michael) Wiley of Fenton; six grandchildren, Mark Fiebke, Aimee (Jeff) Hackney, Butch (Kristen) Beardslee, Jason Lyon, Andrea Coon, Stephanie Coon; five great-grandchildren, Paige, Marin, John, Nicklas, Aimee; sister, Veda Jean Hall of FL.
