Bernice Witten

WITTEN, Bernice Arlene --- Age 84 of Swartz Creek died Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Funeral Services will be held 1PM Friday, December 23 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 5-8PM Wednesday and 2-8 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society. Bernice was born February 20, 1932 in Saginaw County, the daughter of John and Ortha (Loder) Patterson. She graduated from Flint Northern High School. Bernice married Carl Thomas Little on June 10, 1950 in Flint, he preceded her in death on June 5, 1967. She later married George Morris Witten on August 3, 1971 in Flint, he preceded her in death on March 15, 1997. Bernice was employed as a Clerk with the Flint Board of Education retiring in 1985 with 17 years of service. She was a member of VFW post 3720, City of Hope Church and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her children; Randy (Donna) Witten, Douglas Witten, Carlene Mihelcic, Debbie (Patrick) Salerno, William (Avis) Witten, and Kevin (Connie) Little; son in law, Bob Clark; 17 grandchildren;16 great grandchildren; and one great great grand daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands and a daughter, Patricia Clark.
