Bertie Bernice VAUGHN

VAUGHN, Bertie Bernice, age 92 of Fenton passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Maple Place in Flint. Visitation will be held Saturday 3PM - 8PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A funeral service will be held in Oneonta, Alabama at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to charity of one's choice. Mrs. Vaughn was born January 2, 1920 in Oneonta, Alabama the daughter of the late James and Mary Jane Gilliland. She married Clarence Vaughn on June 19, 1937, he preceded her in death in 1987. Bertie enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Surviving are her children; Tommy (Carolyn)Vaughn, Russell Vaughn, Gayther,(Bernie), Bobby(Cathy)Vaughn; grandchildren, Trish(Sean)Simmons, Monica Vaughn, Bobby(Lani)Vaughn, Delicia(Scott)McCoy, Robby Vaughn, Jason Wilcox, Natalie(Nick)Plummer; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson;brother Grady Gilliland and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandson Phillip Walker, sisters Vera Mason and Mabel Stafford and brother Wiley Gilliland.
