Betty Delavergne

DeLaVergne, Betty Jane - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 6PM - 9PM Friday and 10AM until time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to Carriage Town Ministries or The Old News Boys. Betty was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 21, 1923 the daughter of the late Angelo and Myra (Rumbaugh) Marcus. She married William "Bill" DeLaVergne in Flint on October 31, 1953, he preceded her in death on January 17, 1992. Betty enjoyed needlepoint, flower arranging and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are: daughter, Maureen (John) Mays of Gaines; sons, David (Barb) DeLaVergne of Swartz Creek, William (Amber) DeLaVergne of Burton; grandchildren, Brian Mays, David (Blakeley) Mays, Christina Mays, Jason (Shannon) Ketner, Hannah DeLaVergne, Luke DeLaVergne; 2 great grandchildren, Evan Ketner and Peyton Ketner.
