Betty Neumann

NEUMANN, Betty Lee - Age 89, of Flushing, died Saturday, December 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Dean Stewart, of Mayfair Bible Church, officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Betty was born July 10, 1928 in Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of Harold and Julia Hazel (Lee) Stafford. She married Hans Otto Neumann (a former City of Flint Police Detective) June 21, 1947 and he preceded her in death July 15, 1984. She had resided in Flushing since 1966. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran church where she once was active in the Stephens Ministry. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, and cooking. Surviving are: sons, Richard (Rita) Neumann of Flint and Daniel (Jeanne) Neumann of Flushing; grandchildren, Richard Neumann of Flint, Devon (Ian) Welling of Farmington Hills, Lucas Neumann of Grand Rapids, and Jillian Neumann of Grand Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
