REUTHER, Betty Jane - age 90, of Linden, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. Dwight Ezop celebrant. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 12-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM Monday evening. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign. Mrs. Reuther was born August 25, 1923 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Lila (Crippen) Stange. She married Edward Charles Reuther on July 10, 1948 and he preceded her in death January 8, 2001. Betty was a very devout Catholic and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a grandmother to many more than just her grandchildren., Surviving are: seven children, Linda and husband, Darrell Kane of Fenton, Charles E. Reuther and wife, Rebecca of Horton, MI, Elaine Dooley and Nick of Fenton, David Reuther and wife, Lindy of Temperance, MI, Colleen Booth and husband, Ron of St. Petersburg, FL, Clifton Reuther and wife, Pamela of Temperance, MI, Dennis Reuther and wife, Cindy of Ida, MI; 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elaine Stange of Flint; many special nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: three siblings, Pauline Vincent, Beverley Gabrielson, and Kenneth Stange; grandson, Michael Bethke.
