Beverly Filka

FILKA, Beverly Joyce -  age 92, of Holly, formerly of Waterford,  passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. A Memorial Gathering will be held 1-4 PM Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Which would have been her 73rd anniversary with her beloved husband Joseph. A Memorial Service will be at 3 PM Saturday, November 9, 2019.  Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to Heartland Hospice or Adopt-A-Pet.

Beverly was born July 10, 1927 in Detroit, the daughter of Otto and Elise (Muellershoen) Kansier. She married Joseph A. Filka  in Detroit on November 9, 1946. Beverly was a homemaker who enjoyed making custom greeting cards in her in home studio. She loved nature, gardening, and animals.

Surviving are: daughter, Judy (Steve) Breuer; daughter in law, Mary Ann Filka; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
