Beverly I. Post (Swalla), age 94, of Grand Blanc, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life, please continue to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Beverly will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon, Michigan. Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel has been entrusted with funeral arraignments. Online condolences can be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Beverly's name to the Genesee County Animal Control or SAD Shelter Animal Donations. 

Beverly was born on December 20, 1929, to the late Donald & Irene Swalla (Seaver). Beverly graduated from Flint Central High School. She continued her education at the University of Denver where she earned her bachelor's degree, and she then earned her master's degree from the University of Michigan. She married Harold L. Post on April 20, 1962, and they shared 36 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. Beverly taught at Grand Blanc High School and was a writer producer for the Flint Board of Education Radio Station WFBE. She ended her career as the office manager for her husband's real-estate office. Beverly was a supporter of the arts. She loved music, dance, theatre and was a docent at the Flint Institute of Arts. Beverly was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Duffield Methodist Church and a Regent of the Grand Blanc Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

Beverly spent the last 22 years of her life with her companion Richard Hoag. She was embraced and loved by his family. Beverly and Richard were fortunate to have many years of adventures, dancing, travel and love. 

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by, her husband, Harold Post; her brother, Donald Swalla and many of her furry companions who were waiting for her at the rainbow bridge when she arrived. 

Beverly is survived by her companion, Richard Hoag; her sister, Sharon (Richard) Bunker; three daughters, Karen (Chris) Teeples, Tammra (Gary) Guentzel and Julie (Rob) Veenhuis; grandchildren, Luke Teeples, Andrew Teeples, Jessica Teeples, Alyx Luttermoser, Tory Luttermoser, and Jake Veenhuis; great-grandchildren, Carter Teeples, Wyatt Teeples, and Ezra Teeples. She is further survived by many special friends who were more like family.
