Beverly Anne SNYDER

April 15, 1932 — February 6, 2013

SNYDER, Beverly Anne Viele - age 80, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Willowbrook Manor surrounded by family due to complications of Guillian Barre Syndrome. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1:30 PM Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E Bristol Rd, Burton with Fr. Gary McInnis celebrant. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint and from 12:30 PM until the time of mass on Saturday at the church. Daughter of Cecil (Mike) and Anna Viele. Sister of Ben. Born April 15, 1932 in Flint, Mi. Beverly experienced much of what the world offered as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ms. Beverly was not one to let grass grow under her feet. Her work included the early years of volunteering at St. Luke's and St. Mikes. Work experience was - Civic Park Cleaners, A.M. Davison, Mi. Secretary of State, Blanche Bekkering Realtors, and with her son at John "Biff" Snyder Real Estate Appraisers until 2011. However, Beverly was best known as the owner of the legendary "JunkYard Bar". She purchased this on a whim in 1982 and as the Flint Journal reported in an article in 1997, the JYB was "overlooking precious metals" and was a " neighborhood bar without a neighborhood". She continued to be very active with friends/ family and was known for her love of "road trips". Surviving are children, Mike and Maureen Snyder, Mary Anne (Snyder) Tribble and Greg, and John "Biff" Snyder. Grandchildren Megan Snyder, William, Michael and Emily, Brian Chuff, Aimee Snyder and Elizabeth (Snyder) and Jeremy Boggs, Great Grandchildren, Toni and Alexis Chuff, Dominic Chuff and Tyler Wedding. She is also survived by John Snyder Sr. who through marriage/divorce remained friends. Cousins and lifelong friends Carol Ballard and Carol Sue Erickson, Sister In-law Georgie Viele and all the Lansing Viele cousins. Also thank you to The Chevrolet/Hamilton Neighborhood Group for "Tuesdays with Beverly" Special thanks to Valerie, Tammy A and B, McLaren Hospice and Willowbrook Manor. A very special thank you to Jamie Frechette and Kathleen Snyder who provided much care for Beverly in the last difficult months. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and Brother Ben. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to GBS/CIDP Foundation International, The Holly Building 104 1/2 Forrest Avenue Narberth, PA.
