THRUN, Beverly Louise - Age 81, of Holly, died Sunday, November 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Road, Grand Blanc. Pastor Todd Biermann officiating. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, Friday from 3-8 PM and at church Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Faith Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association. Beverly was born October 11, 1932 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Charles and Doris (Rishel) Cronkhite. She was a 1950 graduate of Battle Creek High School. She married Herbert Frederick Thrun, Jr. January 25, 1953 in Battle Creek and he preceded her in death April 28, 2007. Beverly was the organist and choir director at Hope Lutheran Church in Linden and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fenton. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Grand Blanc and Bethany Lutheran Church in Leesburg, FL. She also was a member of the Holly American Legion Auxiliary Post #149, Holly Optimist Club, and the Red Hat Society. Surviving are: 3 daughters, Victoria Van Gorder and husband Glendon of Northville, Deborra Warren and husband Larry of Aurora, CO, and Sue Pontin and husband Wayne of Holly; 5 grandchildren, Stefanie, Geoffrey, Sara, Steven, and Brian; 2 great grandchildren, Owen and Evan; sister, Ethel Grace.
