Blanche Pearl METZLER

Metzler, Blanche Pearl - Age 90 , of Flint, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday July 6, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Reverend Susan Bennett Stiles officiating. Visitation will be 11AM until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Metzler was born October 24, 1922 in Sesser, Illinois the daughter of the late Charles A. and Bessie (Sweetin) Tope. Blanche married Arthur John Metzler on July 23, 1945 in Benton Illinois, they had a double ceremony with Carl Swindell and Irma Furlin. Arthur preceded Blanche in death on October 3, 1997. Mrs. Metzler loved going to the casinos, having pizza while watching sporting events with her son David and she enjoyed reminiscing about and talking to her friends and family. Surviving are; son, David Metzler; special nieces, Mary Noland, Rhonda Oleyar, Lynn Williams; special nephews, Jesse Oleyar, Wayne Holland, Raymond Noland and 4 generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death also by her daughter Kristine Metzler; sisters, Neva, Virginia, Peggy; brothers, Ivan, Pete; lifelong friends, Mike and Genevieve Dosen; Don and Charlette Karsner; several nieces and nephews.
