HAVLICHEK, Blonda Mae - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, December 21, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 27, 2019 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Road, Flint. Pastor Randy Schunemann officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at the church Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Central Church of the Nazarene Mission Fund or Autism Research Foundation.
Blonda was born July 5, 1928 in Beech Grove, AR, the daughter of Clarence A. and Evia E. (Norman) Weddington. She was a 1946 graduate of Flint Northern High School. She married Daniel Harry Havlichek September 8, 1950 and he preceded her in death May 16, 2002. Blonda retired in 1990 from the Flint Community Schools where she worked in Personnel and Printing. She was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene where she was a greeter; and she was a former member of West Flint Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving are: son, Dr. Daniel (Lorraine) Havlichek, Jr. of DeWitt; daughter, Dr. Beth (Steven) Boyce of Geneva, IL; grandchildren, Lisa (Brad) Barr of Geneva, IL, Hillary (Daniel) Oberholz of Chicago, IL, Dr. Daniel Havlichek III of Rochester, MN, Ruthanne Havlichek of Ann Arbor, and Thomas Havlichek of Ann Arbor; great grandchildren, Elisabeth Ann, Emmarie Cate, Broderick Michael, Madeline Mae, and Eva Elizabeth; brother, Noel Keith (Berneda) Weddington of Flushing; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Darla Jane Havlichek; and brother, Kevin Michael Weddington. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomesm.com.
