Robert Joseph "Bob" "Andy" Anderson

ANDERSON, Robert Joseph "Bob," "Andy," age 93, of Fenton, formerly from Kalamazoo and Portage. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 1150 W. Centre Ave., Portage, MI. Fr. Mark Vyverman, celebrant. Visitation 10:00 AM until the time of Mass Wednesday at Church. Interment 11:00 AM Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Robert's memory to Loaves & Fishes 901 Portage St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001 would be appreciated.

Robert was born April 3, 1933, in Kalamazoo, the son of Carl M. and Leona A, (Kinstler) Anderson. He married Janet May Biljum in Kalamazoo on April 4, 1953. Robert graduated from St. Augustine Catholic High School in 1951. He proudly served two years in the U.S. Army. Robert retired after serving as a Sales Rep for Grocers Baking Company and later MacDonald and McMann Food Brokers and also obtained his Real Estate License. He was a long-time member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kalamazoo and the Knights of Columbus. Robert was an altar server and reader at St. Augustine Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf, tennis and was very social and loved talking with people. Robert and Janet were "snowbirds" for many years wintering in Punta Gorda, FL and enjoyed going on cruises together over the years.

Robert is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter, Susan (Thomas) Prescott; son, Robert Scott (Patricia) Anderson; grandsons, Randy (Jenica) Prescott, Adam (Amy) Prescott, Steven (Alexiz) Anderson, and Daniel Anderson; great grandchildren, Roberto Anderson, Charlotte Prescott, and Andrew Prescott; his sister, Mary Ann Anderson.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Leona Anderson and great granddaughter Kearra Hernandez.
