Bonnie Hudson

Hudson, Bonnie Jo - Age 88, of  Flint Township, died May 10, 2023. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, May 20 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Private interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held  1-2 PM Saturday May 20.

Bonnie was born May 1, 1935 in Rumbauer, Missouri, the daughter of John J. Crewse Sr. and Laura (Keen) Crewse. She was married to David Franklin Hudson on June 8, 1956; he preceded her in death January 28, 2018.

After she was married, she worked as a licensed practical nurse at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Later, she attended cosmetology school to become a licensed cosmetologist and instructor, working for Mr. David's School of Cosmetology. Bonnie then owned and operated Bonnie's Beauty Shop for many years. She enjoyed many things, she was an avid reader and spent lots of time at the Baker Park Library.  Bonnie had a green thumb and enjoyed flower gardening and watching her birds and squirrels.  She was devoted to her family, her faith and her beloved animal companion Abbigale.

Surviving are: her two daughters. Laura Susan Hudson of Flint Township, Kimberly Locher (Joe Hallem) of Clio; brother Clayton (Flora) Crewse; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Vernon and John Crewse.

The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Genesys Emergency Room.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the friend of the Baker Park library at the Burton Senior Center.
