Brenda Joyce Johnson, a beloved member of the Durand community and cherished Secretary at Robert Kerr Elementary School, passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 75. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Private services will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Born on June 30, 1949, in Cadillac.

Brenda’s warm smile and nurturing spirit were hallmarks of her career as a secretary, where she devoted many years to supporting students, teachers, and families alike. Her unwavering commitment to education and her ability to connect with everyone created a welcoming atmosphere at the school. Brenda cherished her role, believing in the power of education and the importance of community.

Outside of her professional life, Brenda found immense joy in spending time with her family. She was an avid camper, relishing the beauty of nature and the moments shared with loved ones around a campfire. Her legacy of love and connection will continue to resonate within her family, who held her dear.

Brenda is survived by her son, Robert Johnson, and her son, Thomas (Rachael) Johnson, along with her four grandchildren: Julia, Edward, Joslyn, and Isabella. She is also survived by her siblings, Frances (Robert) Young, Beth (Roy) Spencer, Dawn (Duane) Tatar, and Jaymi Johnson, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will carry her memory forward.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Johnson, her brother, Marvin Johnson and her parents, Francis and Barbara Johnson. Their absence will be felt deeply, yet the love they shared will always be remembered.
