AZELTON, Brian Matthew - Age 45, of Burton, died Friday, November 1, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 4, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Hwy, Flint. Pastor Jeffrey B. Walsh officiating. Burial immediately following in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Sunday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Brian was born September 24, 1968 in Flint the son of Ronal and Wanda (Hoover) Azelton. He was a graduate of Durand High School. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Brian enjoyed painting statues and models. Surviving are: mother, Wanda Azelton of Swartz Creek; brother, Chris and wife Yolanda Azelton of Lapeer; nephews, Andrew Azelton of Lapeer and Thomas Judd of Mundy Township; niece, Holly and husband Colin Houston of Hazel Park; aunts, Beatrice Boyd, Sandra and husband Beryl Sedrick all of Grand Blanc. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronal Azelton; nephew, Larry Judd; and his grandparents. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Genesys Health Park for the special care that they provided to Brian.
