Brian Michael Basch

Brian Michael Basch, 56 of Fenton passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 11, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Tina (Bessette) Basch, with whom he shared 29 wonderful and adventurous years of marriage. Their relationship is a testament to their devotion to learn, grow, and laugh with each other.

Born in Livonia, MI, Brian was the son of Karen Jones of Hartland. Through his life he worked as a mortgage closing agent, football coach, and most importantly a homemaker for his family.

Brian was known for his dry sense of humor, quick wit, and enjoyed teasing those he was closest with. He was passionate about home projects, Michigan professional, collegiate, and youth sports, and he prided himself on always being a good neighbor. Brian was so very happy to have moved back to Michigan this past year.

Above all, Brian was extremely proud of his family. He was the loving father to: his three sons Jacob, Justin, and Zachary Basch and his two special dogs Bailey and Bella, all of Fenton. He was the brother of Scott (Jane) Domine and Shane (Bahia) Basch. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Muriel Bessette, and sisters-in-law Cindy and Jenna Bessette all of Rhode Island, and many nieces and nephews: Grant, Emily, Sara, Zoe, Alexandra, Caden, Carter, and Marin.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed below Brian's obituary). Fr. Gregg Pleiness officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Gift of Life Michigan.
