Bruce Lee Jennings

Bruce Lee Jennings, age 87, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. A graveside service with military honors will take place at 12:30 PM, Thursday, November 12, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Bruce was born on October 18, 1939, in Ishpeming, Michigan, the son of the late Wesley and Tena (Marjamaa) Jennings. He graduated from Negaunee High School. On June 18, 1957, Bruce proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country until his honorable discharge on June 7, 1960. He was united in marriage to Donna Wilson in Bad Kreuznach, Germany and together they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. Bruce worked for General Motors at Chevrolet V8 in the Special Studies Department for 30 years until his retirement. He was a devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church since 1970. Bruce was an avid runner for over 30 years and enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; two sons, Dean Jennings and Kurt (Janet) Jennings; daughter, Lynn (Myron) Dembny; three grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail and Parker; and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his three brothers, Wesley Jr., Alger and Roger Jennings; and three sisters, Helen, Jean and Alice.
