PITTS, Buvetta L. - Age 88, of Byron, died November 18, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Kevin Edgar officiating. Burial will follow in Union Plains Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Judes Children Hospital. Buvetta was born August 25, 1924 in DesArc, AR, the daughter of Charles B. and Lamar Britt. Mrs. Pitts was a charter member of Baring Cross Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 50 years. She loved to play games and cards. Surviving are: children, Lynda (David) Knight of Durand, Peggy (Gary) Henry of Byron, Dennis (Carlotta) Pitts of Smyrna, TN: grandchildren, David Faulkner, Danielle Edgar, Jody Faulkner, Dave Knight all of Paragould, AR, Tina Knight of Lansing, Sabrina Henry of Illinois, Raquel Nastally of Gaines, Shanna Belyk of San Diego, CA, Evan Pitts, Marissa Pitts both of Smyrna, TN; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Dale and Ron Britt.
