Carmi E. EDWARDS Sr.

EDWARDS, Carmi E., Sr. - age 81, of Linden, died Friday, March 15, 2013 in Florida. Services will be held 9 AM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor David Salazar officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Fenton Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 N. Fenton Rd., Fenton. Mr. Edwards was born May 25, 1931 in Kittaning, PA, the son of Ross and Ruth (Shaul) Edwards. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Mr. Edwards retired from Huron Valley Public Schools as an Assistant Principal and former Director of Community Schools. He enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and spending time with family. He was very proud of his military service. Surviving are: wife, Lois; son, Carmi Edwards, Jr. and wife Kathy of Linden; three grandchildren, Ashley, Sylvan and Seth; his step-children, step-grandchildren; three sisters, Marilyn Stepp, Elaine Shaffer and Gail Jordan and their families; many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
