LEE, Carol Ann - Age 80 of Fenton, passed away April 24, 2024. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Pastor Matt Hein officiating. Visitation will be held 9:00 AM-11:00 AM Friday. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Carol's memory would be appreciated.

Carol was born in Flint, MI on May 29, 1943, the daughter of Paul Glen and Dorothy (Tuttle) Henderson. Carol's mom passed when Carol was only five years old and after was raised by her dad and stepmother Beatrice Henderson. Carol resided her entire life in the Flint area with the exception of the last four years when she moved to Fenton to be with her daughter Kristine and son-in-law Bill so they could care for her.

On June 6, 1964, Carol married the love of her life Robert E. Lee. Bob and Carol were married for a blessed 35 years. They had a marriage based on deep love, mutual respect and friendship. They had a marriage that many only dreamed of. They had two beautiful children, Scott and Kristine, whom they deeply loved and cherished. It was cut too short when Bob passed on November 12, 1999.

Carol lived her life doing what she most truly enjoyed. Her focus was on being a wife, mother and grandmother (lovingly called mama by her grandchildren) and taking care of her family. She put her entire being into making sure her husband, children and grandchildren never wanted for anything. She was a selfless, generous, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her four grandchildren gave her great joy. She was so proud of all of them. Bob and Carol were active members of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Flint for many years. She enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling and just spending time with her family. Carol greatly enjoyed her time with family on Lake Leelanau and their many trips with her grandchildren to Disney World.

Surviving Carol are Son Scott Lee and wife Alicia of Grand Blanc; daughter Kristine Kussro and husband William (Bill) of Fenton; grandchildren Kelsey Lee Kussro, Alec Robert Kussro, Lauren Elizabeth Lee and Matthew Scott Lee; sister Sharon Cronkright; brother Phillip Henderson and wife Mary Lou; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Robert E. Lee, father Paul Glen Henderson, mother Dorothy (Tuttle) Henderson, stepmother Beatrice Henderson and brother-in-law Donald Cronkright. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
