Carol J. Wheeler

Carol J. Wheeler was born on February 21, 1939, at Huntington County Hospital in Huntington, Indiana, to Bernard and Lee Ella Kastner.

Carol graduated as valedictorian from Huntington Catholic High School in 1956. She received a scholarship from the 40 and 8 Organization and graduated from Holy Cross School of Nursing in 1959.

After nursing school, Carol worked at St. John Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. She later returned to Huntington, where she worked as a nurse for many years. Carol had five children: Robin, Angie, Amy, Chris, and Joy.

Carol married Barth Wheeler in 1988; he preceded her in death. Her daughter Robin also preceded her in death. Carol was residing in Linden, Michigan, at the time of her passing, at the age of 87.

She is survived by her sister, Alyce Zahn of Huntington, as well as three nieces and one nephew.

She will be loved and missed always.
