LEFANOWICZ, Carole Sue - Age 76, of Fenton, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey officiating. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Carole was born April 20, 1940 in Flint the daughter of Roy and Vinnie (Smith) Kirk. She was a 1958 graduate of Holly High School and received a Bachelor's in Education from Eastern Michigan University. She married Curtis Wicker June 16, 1962 and he preceded her in death June 16, 1974; she then married Donald Lefanowicz April 21, 1978 and he preceded her in death February 3, 2006. Carole was a substitute teacher for Grand Blanc Community Schools. She was an exceptional writer of prose and loved music, literature, euchre, and family game night. Surviving are: 5 children, Stacey Smith of Fenton, Alissa (Gary) Hopson of Holly, Mark (Kathy) Lefanowicz of California, Craig (Jennifer) Lefanowicz of Virginia, and Lynn (Bob) Tushup of Texas; grandchildren, Trent, Taylor, Libby, Becca, Molly, Max, Michael, Brianne, Adam, and Alex; great grandchild, Jake; brother, Charles Oxley of Alabama. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kris Kielian; brother, Roy D. Kirk; and sister, Michelle Vela.
