COOPER, Caroline Rose - Age 91, of Flint Township, died Thursday, October 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 21, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Burial immediately following at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 5-8 PM and Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to A-1 Hospice or to the Visually Impaired. Mrs. Cooper was born February 15, 1922 in Linden, the daughter of Charles and Millie (Annis) Townsend. She was a 1941 graduate of Linden High School. She married Earl L. Cooper December 20, 1941 in Flint and he preceded her in death April 23, 1986. She was a life long resident of Genesee County. Mrs. Cooper enjoyed traveling, bowling, bingo, and hook rugs. Surviving are: 7 children, Roy and wife Cynthia Cooper of Ewen, Sharon and husband Curtis Bailey of Tennessee, James and wife Lisa Cooper of Pottersville, Brenda and husband Eddie Lane of Burton, Gene Cooper of Swartz Creek, Coleen Arwood of Missouri, Leona Cooper of Swartz Creek; 27 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; Sisters-in-law, Mary Woltmann of Gladwin and Evelyn Cooper of Fenton; brother-in-law, Marvin Goward of Zephyr Hills, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Gloria Cooper; sisters, Lola, Luella, Ruth, and Maude; brother, Ernest, Wilbur, and Edmond.
